Spelling Activity Sheets included:

-Pyramid Words – Write each word on the slant of the pyramid. Next, start with the first letter of the word and add the next letter on each line.

-Across and Down – Write each word horizontally and vertically so that they share the first letter of the word.

-Silly Shape Words – Write each word by following one of the shape templates below.

-Making Bubble Letters – Print each word (make sure letters are slightly spread apart). Then trace around each letter to make bubbles around each letter.

-Wavy Sentences – Write a wavy sentence using each spelling word. Highlight, color, or circle the spelling word in each sentence.

-Text Message Words – Write each as a spelling word so it looks like you and your friend are creating your spelling list together.

-Scrabble Words – Write each spelling word. Then, write a math equation using the value for each letter. Next, add up the value of each word. Last, color the word with the highest points.

-Secret Code Words – Write each spelling word. Then, write the secret code symbol for each letter.

-Word Train – Write spelling words in each train car to make a spelling word train! Choo choo!!

$3.00

All you need is colored paper, file folders, scissors, and some glue!   Print all the sheets on the colors of your choice, then cut and put together the folders.  I have shown my assembled ones below!

This is a fun and interactive tool to encourage students to learn sight words while “earning” sight word money!

I have included in the file:

time cards (students can start as Word Reviewers and be promoted to Word Managers and even ABC CEOs!  There are stars on the promoted time cards to designate their position at Sight Word, Inc.!)

sight word money (100 sight words, PLUS 1 page designated to blank sight word money so that you can write your own!)

labels for front and inside of folders (students can write their own names or the teacher can prepare this part!)

promotion certificates (two certificates have been included for when students are promoted to Word Manager and ABC-CEO!)

100 Words:
the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, are, as, with, his, they, I, at, be, this, have, from, or, one, had, by, words, but, not, what, all, were, we when, your, can, said, there, use, an, each, which, she, do, how, their, if, will, up, other, about, out, many, then, them, these, so, some, her, would, make, like, him, into, time, has, look, two, more, write, go, see, number, no, way, could, people, my, than, first, water, been, called, who, am, its, now, find, long, down, day, did, get, come, made, may, part

Next, you just have to determine how you will use this system….

-How many times do they have to get the word correct to “earn” the money?

-Will you have a designated “shopping day” in the classroom for the students to spend their money?   (A redemption stamp could be used to stamp the front or back of the money to show that it has been used and still keep the money in the pocket… maybe even put a pocket on the back for money that has been redeemed!)

-Will you promote the students from reviewer to manager to CEO?  Will you have shiney star stickers to place on the promoted time cards?

So much fun and learning to be had!  Enjoy!!   And leave some comments below!  🙂 🙂

When my oldest munchkin went to kindergarten she didn’t have very much experience using scissors – it wasn’t something I intentionally avoided, it just wasn’t something I hadn’t encouraged or thought about teaching her – LOL!!

So here is a file that can help prepare kids for kindergarten or continue to develop their skills while creating a simple craft!  Distribute the sheets, let the students cut the shapes and match them up and glue onto the template sheet.

There are four files to print / copy (just make sure to figure out how many copies of each page you need):
